This page captures what I’m currently learning, reading, and thinking about. Some of this may turn into writing. Some of it won’t.

Open questions for future research

  • What does "good developer experience" look like in the AI age? What do future IDEs look like?
  • Is code still a liability? Actually, what is code? Is software cheap?
  • What does “good intent” and "good context" look like in practice?
  • How will software roles evolve?
  • Is software on demand a reality now? How things like Google Labs Disco will change how we distribute software?
  • Do we need libraries in the agentic coding age?

Currently learning

  • Agentic development workflows using Codex, Opencode, and Claude Code.
  • Constraint movement in AI-assisted development.

Currently reading

  • Thinking in Systems by Donella Meadows.
  • Rewilding Software Engineering by Simon Wardley and Tudor Girba.

Currently writing

  • What happens when intelligence becomes a utility?
  • Hacking the learning curve with coding agents
